Me as a Counselling Psychologist

I was born in Italy and did part of my studies there until I was 25 years old. I then moved to Toronto (Canada) and Chicago (USA) for a year, where I conducted research in neuropsychology.

I have been living in the UK since 2009.

I hold a BSc in Psychology and an MSc in Neuropsychology, obtained at the University of Bologna (Italy). I also completed a doctorate in Counselling Psychology at City University London (UK). My rigorous trainings enabled me to become a registered Practitioner Psychologist with the HPCP (Health and Care Professional Council). It is mandatory that practicing psychologists be registered with this important body, which provides with high standards in delivering our interventions.

I have also successfully completed a post-graduate diploma in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy and advanced trainings in Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Flash Technique. I am a CBT accredited therapist, an IFS-informed therapist, and an EMDR accredited therapist, supervisor and consultant.

I worked in the mental health sector in the NHS for several years before embarking on full-time private practice in 2018.
